Lewis Lumber Earns NWFA/NOFMA Certification

Lewis Lumber and Milling, in Dickson, Tenn., has earned The National Wood Flooring Association NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification.

“We are pleased to welcome Lewis Lumber as the newest member of the NWFA/NOFMA Program,” said NWFA Manufacturer Services Director, John Forbes. “Embracing transparency and third-party certification in the wood flooring space has become a requisite to compete at a high level. The growing list of NWFA/NOFMA manufacturer members is an excellent example of this growing market demand.” 

Lewis Lumber manufactures red oak, white oak, and hickory unfinished flooring and has a mission to focus on manufacturing high-quality unfinished hardwood plank flooring for quality-oriented hardwood flooring distributors.

“It has been a gratifying challenge to help build the business at Lewis Lumber and Milling,” said Tim Ellrich with Lewis Lumber. “We have a simple principle: it has got to be right. The NWFA/ NOFMA Program give us the tools and feedback to continue being successful in the future.”

The NWFA/NOFMA certification shows that a manufacturer’s wood flooring meets or exceeds the industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content and average board length. Certified mills are inspected a minimum of two times per year to ensure consistent grade standards are met.
