Bostik earlier this year unveiled an extensive line of surface preparation materials at The International Surface Event in Las Vegas and now in Q3, it’s apparent the marketplace has accepted these new products, according to the company.
“This was a huge, monumental product launch program,” said Chris Eichman, Bostik’s marketing communications manager. “Never before had we introduced 12 products at the beginning of the year.”
According to Eric Kurtz, LEED green associate, Bostik’s market manager—hardwood, resilient and surface preparation systems, “There are many reasons for this successful launch. One being that the majority of the Bostik self-leveling underlayments contain more than 20% recycled material and two, we invest heavily to provide the highest-quality sales-support materials. For example, regarding these new products, we’ve just produced three readily available videos; all have been well received."
Additionally, the online CEU course, “Surface Preparation for Flooring Installation: Meeting Industry Standards,” presented by Eric Kurtz and offered at aec.daily.com, has been a major success, as well, according to the company.
Scott Banda, Bostik’s director of marketing and business development, added, “Our new cement-based self-levelers offer unique benefits and advantages including being affordably priced, adding installation thickness properties and being ‘walk-able’ much faster than competitive products. They offer contractors the autonomy to install tile, stone, resilient, wood and other floor coverings directly over them. Bostik’s commitment is to continue delivering the highest quality surface prep materials to the marketplace. Always.“
