Stauf Introduces LVP

Stauf USA's new LVP-777 Pro-Lux is a specially formulated adhesive for the installation of luxury vinyl tiles and planks, to its adhesive lineup.

With this formulation, installers will find that it is easier to spread and can be used as two different adhesives in one. Installers can wet lay this adhesive, or allow 30 to 40 minutes and it may be used as a pressure sensitive adhesive, according to the company. LVP-777 is formulated to decrease shrinkage, increase green grab, reduce cupping and end peaking due to its extremely high shear strength.

“Luxury vinyl plank and tile have come a long way in recent designs, colors and fashions," said David Ford vice of sales and marketing for Stauf. "They have become significantly modified and in some cases perfected to look and feel exactly like what they are trying to imitate. Many upper end commercial users, residential builders and specifiers are enjoying the aesthetic they are able to obtain from these products. The problem is that in most cases, installers are not using an adhesive that will withstand the objections to these types of products such as shrinkage, cupping or end lifting. We have resolved most of the objections with this adhesive. It’s strong and really is a substantial improvement over cheaper vinyl adhesives."
