Learn the science behind the various types and chemistries of adhesives used in the floor covering industry today during the Flooring Contractors Association (FCICA) Adhesive Science 101 for the Floor Covering Installer Webinar on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. EST.
At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to identify the basic adhesive types available that serve the flooring market, and understand the basic components that go into making each adhesive type, according to the association. They will gain greater knowledge of how adhesives work, the environmental aspects that will affect bond performance and why there are so many different types of adhesives available—including how they interface with flooring types.
Presenter Jeffrey Johnson is the product manager for MAPEI’s floor covering installation systems line. Johnson brings to the industry more than 20 years’ experience in floor-covering installation product development and marketing. Practical experience in the construction industry and as a bench chemist gives him a unique perspective on the line. He currently sits on the convention planning committee for FCICA.
