Walker Steps Down from CFI; Varden Assumes CEO Position

Jim Walker, CEO of International Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI), has announced his retirement.

As a founding member of CFI, and long-standing CEO, Walker has led the tremendous growth of this organization for the last 22 years to help it become the widely recognized leader in flooring installation training that it is today, said the association.

Succeeding Walker will be CFI’s executive director, Robert Varden.

With over 30 years in the flooring industry, the association said, Varden not only looks to expand the reach of CFI's training, but to also build new relationships with manufacturers, retailers, distributors, etc., in order to communicate the importance of professional installation.

As part of the restructuring, CFI’s national office has relocated to 12201 W. 88th St., Lenexa, Kan., 66215. Its phone number will remain (816) 231-4646.
