Warmly Yours'' Platinum Installation Kit includes seven tools for two-step installations on a slab that require an underlayment under the heating element.
WarmlyYours Radiant Heating recently launched two new types of kits for U.S. customers—Installation Accessory Kits and Electrical Rough-in Kits.
The Installation Accessory Kits include all the tools necessary to install a TempZone floor-heating system and tile. They come in four different kits—Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum—each specializing in a different type of installation to suit the various needs of trade professionals and do-it-yourselfers.
The Basic Installation Kit includes a margin trowel and 3/8” notched trowel for spreading thinset over the heating element and back-buttering each tile for one-step installations.
The Silver Installation Kit is comprised of four tools, including an epoxy grout float, for one-step installations that include grouting the tile.
The Gold Installation Kit features six tools for two-step installations that do not require underlayment under the heating element.
The Platinum Installation Kit includes seven tools for two-step installations on a slab that require an underlayment under the heating element.
The Electrical Rough-in Kits include all the parts needed to install a thermostat. The main feature of these kits is a 4" x 4" dual gang box, which can prolong the life of the thermostat by allowing air to circulate around the control, keeping it from overheating, said the company.
The Electrical Rough-in Kits are available with or without conduit. The eight-piece kit with conduit contains everything needed to install and connect a thermostat with an electric radiant heating system in accordance with the National Electric Code, including the dual gang box, a single gang mud ring, conduit, a cable protector and more.
The four-piece kit without conduit was developed for projects in which the local electrical code does not require conduit for the low-voltage sensor wire or the power leads. Therefore, it includes everything needed for a professional thermostat installation without the conduit and related parts.
Each kit offers a variation on these seven tools: a 3/8" notched trowel; 1/8" V-notch trowel; dense rubber float; epoxy grout float; margin trowel; finishing trowel, and kneeler board.
