Julius Shaw to Retire from Shaw Industries

Julius Shaw will retire from Shaw Industries at the end of the year, following 40 years of service with the company.

“We will miss Julius’ wise counsel, his commitment to our customers, and all the wonderful things he has done for Shaw, our associates and our customers over the past 40 years,” said Vance Bell, CEO of Shaw. “We wish him and his family the very best and thank him for the tremendous contributions he has made.”

Bob Hardaway has been named vice president, home center sales and marketing, and will fill Julius’ leadership role. Hardaway began his career at Shaw as a trainee from Clemson University in 1985 and has served in numerous sales and leadership roles over the past three decades.

“Julius has been an outstanding ambassador, contributor, and leader for Shaw Industries,” said Randy Merritt. “For the last 14 years, he has managed and developed our business with the Home Centers and larger mass merchants, building a team dedicated to providing ‘best in class’ customer service—cultivating a team that will continue to propel this sector of our business forward.”
