Kelsey Quigg is the new product manager of UFloor Systems Pallmann USA division. Quigg has been with the company since 2008 and held various positions ranging from territory manager to technical manager for Pallmann. Kelsey is a student of the products, said Brand Manager Mark Weglowski Kelsey is constantly analyzing all of our products in the Pallmann range to understand their full capabilities for the industry. In this new role it will allow Kelsey to work with our partners in Germany to strengthen our product line here in the U.S. Additionally, Quigg will retain his technical manager duties as both positions are complementary to one another. The Marble Institute of Americas (MIA) 2014 Fabricator Benchmarking Survey is now available. Sponsored by Cosentino NA, Kohler Co. and Tenax USA. The survey boasted 212 participants with 40% of those also completing the 2013 survey. Participation in the survey was available for free to all fabricators in North America and the resulting report allows fabrication companies to compare their firm with firms of similar size. MIA has used the data derived from the survey, both the current year and prior year, along with additional industry statistics, to create a one-of-a-kind web portal that contains statistical data, design trends, housing information and more. While the survey questions were posed to fabricators, the report offers relevant information for suppliers and international companies seeking information about the North American market. The Flooring Contractors Association (FCICA), in cooperation with Ardex Americas and nora systems, has developed the Bruce Newbrough Memorial Scholarship for the Certified Installation Manager (CIM) program. The Bruce Newbrough Memorial Scholarship has been established to provide educational opportunities to floor covering installation managers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and excellence in proper substrate preparation and installation of floor covering. The late Bruce Newbrough, as Ardex director of technical services and later applications development, utilized opportunities to further his vision and passion which was industry education and training on proper substrate preparation, all for the purpose of achieving successful installations.
