Hanley Wood has reached an agreement to sell its Hanley Wood Exhibitions business to Informa PLC, a UK-based publishing and events company that operates in more than 40 countries. The sale is subject to customary regulatory review and is expected to close by the end of the year. Upon the closing of the transaction, the exhibitions business will be rebranded Informa Exhibitions US and will maintain its headquarters in Irving, Texas, under the continued leadership of Rick McConnell as president, Informa Exhibitions US, Construction and Real Estate. The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has extended the deadline for its Best of photo contest until Friday, Dec. 5. The holidays mark a busy time for our industry, said Tony Wheelwright, chairman of the IICRC. Many families will be hiring firms to clean their homes, which means there will be some great opportunities for before-and-after shots for the photo contest.
