Laticrete has added Plasma to its family of grout products and introduced Permacolor Selecta dispersible pigment grout solution with a large, consistent color range. Built on a new technology platform, Plasma is crack and stain resistant and does not require sealing, according to the company. Plasma provides early strength development, easy workability and stain resistance that inhibits the growth of stain-causing mold and mildew in grout joints. The International Surface Event East 2015 (TISE East) dates have shifted to Nov. 2 to 5 and the location is moving to Orlando, Fla. at the Orange County Convention Center. According to show organizers, these dates and new location will more aptly serve the industry, from both an attendee and exhibitor standpoint, creating a vibrant yet cost-effective experience while maintaining the convenience of an international hub. From hotel and travel options, restaurants and local attractions, Orlando quickly became the ideal location for TISE East. TISE East exhibits will open Tuesday, Nov. 3 and continue through Thursday, Nov. 5. The newest inductee to the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) Hall of FameDavid Polleywas establishing himself as a strategic thinker before corporate America even knew what strategic thinking was. Polley was not born into the flooring industry. He came into the business armed with an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia University. He has seen and helped to lead the industry through its dramatic evolution from weaving to tufting, the consolidation of manufacturing and most recently its journey through and powerful emergence from the Great Recession. Polley has left a trail of success throughout his career. His formal induction into the Hall of Fame will take place at the Spring WFCA board meeting in Newport Beach, Calif. The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is pleased to announce the release of the Spanish edition of ACI 318-14: Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete. The International Building Code references 318-14. A Spanish language inch-pound version has also been released. The reorganized 318-14 is organized from an engineers perspective.
